Carolyn Genser
Carolyn Genser is a health information management professional with experience spanning patient registration, diagnostic imaging, surgical services, medical coding, and health data analysis. She currently works at Southlake Regional Health Centre and has been a member of the CHA Learning faculty since 2014.
Carolyn began her healthcare career in administrative and clinical support roles, working as a Patient Registration Clerk, Diagnostic Imaging Clerk, and Surgical Suite Liaison. After completing CHA Learning’s Health Information Management Program, she achieved certification with honours on the National Certification Examination (NCE) in 2014. She subsequently progressed into health information roles as a Coding Specialist and Data Analyst.
Carolyn joined CHA Learning as an Education Consultant for Health Information Management coding courses in 2014. In 2017, she expanded her faculty role to include instruction in Health Care in Canada and Introduction to Health Information Management. She also serves as a member of the Health Information Management Program Advisory Committee, contributing her professional and instructional experience to the ongoing development of the program.
