Farsad Farassati

Farsad Farassati is a healthcare leader, Registered Dietitian, and educator with more than 18 years of experience spanning clinical nutrition, food service management, long-term care, healthcare leadership, and post-secondary education. He currently serves as Manager of Clinical Nutrition Services with the City of Toronto’s Long-Term Care Homes.

Farsad’s career has included leadership and clinical roles across long-term care, retirement living, and other healthcare environments. He has served as Assistant Administrator with the City of Toronto’s Long-Term Care Homes and has extensive experience as a Clinical Dietitian with organizations including Revera Retirement Living and Extendicare. Earlier in his career, he held food service management and clinical nutrition roles with Sodexo Canada and Compass Group Canada.

Farsad holds a Master of Health Studies from Athabasca University, with a dual focus on teaching and leadership. He completed his Dietetic Internship with University Health Network and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food from Toronto Metropolitan University and a College Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management from Centennial College.

In addition to his healthcare practice, Farsad has extensive experience in post-secondary education and course development. He has been a CHA Learning instructor since 2014 and also teaches at the college level. His approach to education emphasizes critical thinking and the practical application of evidence-informed knowledge.

Farsad is an active member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, and the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management. He draws on his experience in healthcare leadership, dietetics, food service, and education to support the development of future food and nutrition management professionals.
