Monique Rasmussen

CHA Learning Faculty | Health Information Management

Monique Rasmussen is a Health Information Management professional with more than 27 years of experience spanning coding, health informatics, data quality, clinical documentation improvement, registration, records management, and transcription. She has more than 10 years of experience in senior healthcare leadership roles.

Monique currently serves as Regional Director of Coding & Informatics for Providence Healthcare in Vancouver, where she oversees teams of coding professionals, Data Quality Analysts, Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists, and Coding Application Specialists. Her extensive experience across multiple areas of Health Information Management provides her with a broad understanding of health information practices, operations, and the use of quality health data within healthcare organizations.

Monique holds the Certified in Health Information Management (CHIM) designation and a Clinical Documentation Specialist certification. She is also pursuing a Master of Healthcare Administration. As a CHA Learning faculty member, she draws on her experience in Health Information Management practice and leadership to support the development of future health information professionals.
